My love affair with the band, Colors, began back at the end of my college years. I was first introduced to them by a roommate and proceeded to get a copy of their latest CD "Outside the Lines". I came to love their music.
But as fate would have it, each time they had a concert, something would be going on and I wouldn't be able to go. Then the saddest thing happened. They decided that they all wanted to start their careers (they had been in college up until this point) so they had their farwell concert at UVSC in I believe Feb. or March of 2003. By the time I found out about it, I was already committed to go to the Institute Talent Show with my visiting teachee! Very sad day!!! But I did purchase the CD with accompaning DVD of this final concert, so I was able to capture a little of the magic that is a Colors Concert.
And then last year they decided to do a concert at the Sandy Amphitheater, I don't remember now why I couldn't go, but I couldn't and I was very sad! My friend did go and she posted this lovely little video on YouTube. They like to do a rap each show by asking the audience for a few random words and then seeing if they can get them all into the rap. It is always entertaining to watch a few VERY white guys try to rap.
Well, this story does have a happy ending! On September 13, 2008 I will be attending my first Colors concert!! I am so excited. I have been listening to their music for the last two weeks and I will continue until the concert so I make sure that I have all the songs memorized so I can sing along.
If any of you have not experienced Colors yet, do not hesistate, they are very entertaining and they even sing well!

Hi, It says you posted this on 8/6/08; however I have checked you site and I didn't see it until today. Glad to hear you can go to your 1st Colors concert! Who will you be going with? I know you will be sure to let us know how it went?! Love you....
well I started typing it back then, but I just got it finished and I didn't realize that it had put the date on until after I posted it and I didn't have the energy to figure out how to fix it. Well if you remind me to tell you, I will! :)

Katie-I am back! Hopefully I will be better now. Kimberlie said she wasn't sure if we are actually coming up in October now. So I may not see you until the babies are born! :( I am just waiting for some friends to send me pictures from my birthday festivities. Then I will post about it. I just keep forgetting.
Morgan-So blogger isn't slacking, I am! I started the post at the beginning of August but didn't get around to finishing it until last week, but it had already posted when I noticed the date, I didn't want to figure out how to change it, so I just left it! :) I heart you too! We need to do dinner again soon. That was so much fun!
